Tea break
Something different grabs my attention almost every day. I’m inspired by the people I meet, the things I do and the places I visit. Family, friends and colleagues are important to me. What motivates you? My zest for life, HR practices and recruitment trends, my garden and passion for baking all influence how I work. I’ve bundled up some of my thoughts and ideas into a few different collections.
So why not make yourself a drink, download my latest story and think about what you want to change? Go on, let yourself go and think crazy or outrageous. It’s how change happens.

Hobbies and interests are back on the menu
There was something of a baking renaissance earlier this year as staying in became the new going out. Now that temperatures are dropping and we’re all clambering back inside, what are you going to bake this season?
Invest in yourself, encourage others and practise positivity
I love a good news story and there have been a couple today. A new job for one of my clients and a promotion at that. It’s not easy to be upbeat all of the time and my husband just reminded me to acknowledge my own philosophy to be positive, encouraging and …
In search of Sid the slug ...
I’ve taken my eye off the horticultural ball for too long since lockdown eased a little. My love of our garden is undisputed although since it’s been acceptable to entertain al fresco, I’ve taken the garden for granted more than I should …
Moules Mariniére and Mr. Reading’s Dahlias
Let’s celebrate the fishermen, the growers and all the suppliers who are helping us to keep going. Let’s encourage the innovators and the entrepreneurs who have adjusted how they work to keep others in business.
A walk around the garden
Right now, the winter stage is set and the excesses of last summer are centre stage. The overweight hydrangea heads are closer to the ground than ever …
Please label my plants not me
Someone told me that horticulture was for middle-aged and middle-class ladies who had little to do. Well, I’m not going to talk about my age and I’m definitely not middle class but I want to put the record straight.
